To register<\/a> for a FREE scholastic chess tournament hosted by The Right Move (TRM)<\/strong>, please use the heading “Register here” from the website www.chesstrm.org\/NYC\/.<\/p>\n

To join or renew USCF dues on-site for one full year costs $12 for Scholastic players age 19 and under.\u00a0 The Right Move encourages you to renew and recruit new members to join on-site at the $12 rate to help grow chess throughout your community.<\/p>\n

Please send your entry as soon as possible<\/span> to guarantee making one of the limited slots into the tournament.<\/p>\n

  3. There are 6 sections for the tournament.\u00a0 USCF rated sections are:<\/li>\n
  4. AWE<\/strong> (Adults are welcome!),<\/li>\n
  5. King<\/span> (USCF rated above 1300),\u00a0 <\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. Queen<\/span> (USCF Above 900 or unrated),\u00a0 <\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Rook<\/span> (USCF Above 500\u00a0 or unrated), <\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. kNight<\/span>, (USCF Under 500)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  9. Pawn<\/span> (Reserved for Grade 3 and Below, Rated under 300).\u00a0 <\/strong><\/li>\n
  10. Sections need a minimum of 6 players or will be combined.\u00a0 All sections begin at 10:00.\u00a0 Check in before 9:30 or you will not be playing round 1.\u00a0 There will be an AWE<\/span> section which may include adults + kids.\u00a0 Current USCF members only.\u00a0 This is a USCF-Rated tournament.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
  11. Space is limited to 180 players at this site.\u00a0 Only current USCF members. New players are most welcome to join the USCF\u00a0 for a $12 fee.\u00a0 Membership is good for one entire\u00a0 year.\u00a0 Immediately upon completing 4 rated games each unrated player receives a rating.<\/li>\n
  12. Awards:\u00a0 Trophies are awarded to First, Second and Third Place in each of the six sections.\u00a0 Medals are won by scoring 2.5 or more points in any section.\u00a0 There are Team Certificates for 1st Place in each section (top 4 scores one school).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    USCF Players must keep their yearly memberships up to date<\/strong>. If your membership appears expired you must prove you have current membership (whether to join<\/a> the USCF) or renew your scholastic membership for $12 (yearly fee) on-site.<\/p>\n
